Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Blind Text application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Blind Text.
• You must be a resident of India. The Service is currently offered only in India and only on Android.
• You must provide a valid mobile phone number to verify your account.
• You must not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You may not share your account, sell access to it, or operate multiple accounts to evade bans.
• You may not impersonate another person or organization. Usernames that resemble official roles ("admin", "support", etc.) or that contain disallowed words will be rejected.
• Profile fields (date of birth, gender, country) are permanent. Changing them requires creating a new account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Blind Text to:

• Send sexually explicit content, solicit nude photos, or pursue minors. Adults-only does not mean adult-content.
• Harass, threaten, defame, or stalk other users.
• Share or solicit phone numbers, social media handles, payment details, or other personal contact information of yourself or others.
• Promote products, services, escort/paid services, or any commercial activity.
• Post spam, scams, malware, or links you wouldn't put in a polite first conversation.
• Attempt to circumvent moderation, abuse-detection, or rate limits.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service in ways that aren't normal app usage.

4. Moderation and enforcement

• Messages are scanned for prohibited content (explicit terms, phone numbers). Violations are blocked before delivery.
• If a user reports you, your report score increases. Repeated reports lead to automatic suspension.
• Repeated prohibited-content violations also lead to automatic suspension.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion if we believe a user has violated these Terms or applicable law. Banned accounts may not register a new account using the same phone number.

5. Anonymity is mutual

Blind Text is built on the idea that strangers can have a real conversation without identifying each other. You agree not to attempt to identify, track, or contact other users outside the Service. If another user shares contact information with you, you must not use it to contact them off the platform without their explicit, repeated consent.

6. Content you send

• You retain ownership of the messages you send. You grant us a limited license to transmit and store those messages so the Service works.
• You will not send content you don't have the right to send.
• We may review reported messages to investigate abuse. We do not read messages otherwise.

7. Service availability

• The Service is provided "as is" and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
• We do not guarantee that you will be matched with any particular user, in any particular timeframe.
• We may take the Service offline for maintenance.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Blind Text is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, since the Service is currently free, is zero.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. To remove your data, use the Delete account option in the app. We may terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

11. Third-party services we use

The Application uses the following third-party services. Each one may process limited data on our behalf as described below.

• MongoDB Atlas (operated by MongoDB, Inc.) — managed database service that stores your account, profile, and chat data on our behalf. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
• Render (operated by Render Services, Inc.) — cloud hosting that runs the Blind Text backend. All API and chat traffic passes through Render's infrastructure over encrypted (HTTPS/WSS) connections.
• Google Fonts (operated by Google LLC) — typography assets are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com on first launch. Google may receive your IP address and user-agent during this fetch. No personal data is sent.
• Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC) — used only on the Blind Text website (these public pages) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Not embedded in the Android application.
• SMS / OTP delivery provider — to deliver the one-time-password we send during sign-in and password reset, your phone number is shared with our SMS provider. We currently use MSG91 (operated by Walkover Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) for SMS delivery via DLT-registered templates in India. We may change SMS providers in the future; the data shared is limited to your phone number and the OTP code being sent.
