Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 12 May 2026
Blind Text is an anonymous one-on-one chat application for adults aged 18 and above,
available worldwide. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and
exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page describes the standards, controls, and
procedures we have in place to prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE on our platform.
1. Age restriction
Blind Text is strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older. This restriction is
enforced at multiple levels:
- Users must provide their date of birth during registration. Anyone under 18 is blocked from creating an account.
- Our Terms of Service explicitly prohibit use by anyone under 18.
- Email verification (one-time code) is required before any profile can be created, adding a real-world barrier to registration.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following content and behaviour are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate
permanent account suspension and, where required by law, reporting to the appropriate
authorities:
- Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors.
- Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, distributing, or requesting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
- Grooming behaviour directed at minors.
- Any attempt to circumvent our age-verification controls.
3. Content moderation
We use a layered approach to content moderation:
- Banned-word filter — an automated filter scans chat messages in real time and blocks messages containing prohibited terms. Repeated violations trigger an automatic account ban.
- User reporting — every user can report their chat partner at any time using the in-app report button. Reports are categorised (e.g., inappropriate content, harassment, spam) and reviewed by our team.
- Automated ban threshold — accounts that accumulate a high report score are automatically suspended pending review.
- Admin review — our moderation team reviews flagged accounts and chat logs, and can issue permanent bans manually.
4. Reporting CSAE content
If you encounter any content or behaviour that you believe involves the sexual exploitation
or endangerment of a child, please report it immediately:
- In-app: Use the Report button inside any chat.
- Email: blindtextapp@gmail.com — include as much detail as possible (username, description of the content).
All CSAE reports are treated as the highest priority. We will review the report within
24 hours and take immediate action, including permanent account suspension and
preservation of evidence.
5. Co-operation with authorities
Blind Text complies fully with applicable Indian law, including the Protection of Children
from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act. We will:
- Preserve account and message data relevant to CSAE investigations upon lawful request.
- Report confirmed CSAM to the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required, and to Indian law enforcement.
- Co-operate fully with law enforcement investigations involving minors.
